There are a LOT of scammers out there in the hauling world.
They'll claim you need to send them money to hold a spot on their truck while they get enough people to build a full load - or something to that effect.
Happened to a friend of mine - don't remember the exact details, but I know he got ripped off pretty hard, and apparently it's a common scam.
