when you say hard to start- every time? only after sitting? i assume "hard to start" means it takes a lot of cranking before it starts. when cranking, is there smoke? is the cranking speed up where it needs to be? does it sputter for a while, or just at some point decide it"s the time and pop right off? any easier to start warm than cold? you mentioned the priming pump- does it make any difference if you first pump on that till you get fuel all the way through, then go try to start it?
