Hi, my brother has a 454 Diesel with over 15,000 hrs and still going strong. D-179 is 3cyl version of 4 cyl D-206 and 6 cyl D-358. The rear end is same as the all 74,84,95 Series tractors. The most common problem is parking brake and Diesel in the crankcase. Parking brake is caused by Operator driving with brake engaged. The Diesel in crankcase is caused by front lip seal failure on injection pump. The lip seal failure is caused by low sulphur Diesel fuel, so add Diesel fuel conditioner ever time you re-fuel.
