I,m looking in to buying a 1974 IH 444.I don't know a lot about these tractors, what I am looking for is a plain farm tractor possibly with a loader. I don't want anything with a lot of extra,s on it. The way I see it,the less that is on it, the less that can break down.Maybe I'm wrong? All I need is something to tow a wood trailer, run a brush-hog,and do miner simple jobs around the house for personal use. This 444 is loaded. Live hydrolics on the back, loader that looks like a pain to take off when not in use, power stearing, and all kinds of gadgets and doo-dads that I don't think I need. But what turns me on about this particular tractor is the price. Are they normaly good reliable tractors or will I bite off more than I can chew! any sugestions would be appreciated. thanks Jay,
