Well the newer oils like say a 10W-40 is when it is cold act like a 10W but when it is warm acts like a 40W oil so you get in theory the best of both worlds. You can go with a 10W-30 or 10W-40 or some other such type and be just fine unless it uses a lot of oil then you may want to stay with a straight type oil
