sounds like you took the right steps so far - and I agree with what others have said, since you've checked the fuel flow, and did the carb, you should start looking at the ignition components.
But... it still could be a fuel problem, don't rule that out completely. Having the carb rebuilt doesn't guarantee anything.
I'm curious about one thing - you say it runs for about 2 seconds. Is that fully choked? Not choked? Or does the choke not make any difference?
Either way, do us all a favor if you fix this, come back and let us know what it was!
I haven't been on this site all that long, but so far it seems like not many people come back once they fix their problem.
