When I bought an H a couple of months ago, it had been advertised as being a 12 volt conversion. It had a 12 volt battery in it and cranked like it still had a 6 volt starter. The coil look original. The generator registered 7.25 volts. Out of curiosity, I measured the inbound voltage at the coil and it was a lot less, I think 4 or 5 volts. Don't remember exactly, but it was less. Then one day I pulled the cover of the electrical box-thingy on the steering wheel post and found a ceramic resistor in there that looks like an old dodge ignition resister.
My question to you folks is if this resister is supposed to be there on a 6 volt system?
