#33 is the retainer, but the bearing, (#31) slides in and out easily. I guess that is why the other part of #31 is there, it's a spring ring. I guy in my group pointed out something today, though. I have that bearing on the other side of the retainer, with the ring on the outside. The way this shows it, it has the ring on the inside, maybe so it would not push forward. I put it in the way I took it out, but who knows? When you look at yours, look at the forward side, and see if you can see that retainer, and the ring around the bearing on the INSIDE of the tranny. That would anwser my question. Then I would only have to pop off the cap, retainer, bearing and ring and reverse the bearing with the ring on the inside. Wouldn't even have to drain the oil. Thanks!
