As I am dealing with this brake issue I decided to pull the mcv off and go through it and the pump. Taking it off I see whomever had is apart last used an excessive amount of form a gasket sealer or rtv silicone of some thing between the gasket and the metal. I did not read in the manual that you are even supposed to use anything other than the gaskets. This crap is all over, and am guessing I will find some in places it shouldnt be. Am I taking a risk going through the MCV myself or should I bring it to a shop and have them do it so it has a better chance of doing it right? This is a T/A delete. Seems pretty straight forward in the book, but I havent taken it apart yet, only off the tractor. Also, is hy tran the best to refill it with , or will universal hydraulic fluid work?
