see I was picturing the wrong shaft....I'll look tonight. If you have a picture of it send it to me. Also, is it a humming sound, or a grinding sound? did you find any unusual wear marks or such? Also did the sound change in different gears? My thoughts are that if it is louder or different dsounding in different gears than it is after the transmission. If it is a constant engine rpm relative sound than it is before the tranny. I am sorry for so many questions but it is hard to diagnose without feeling the vibrations and hearing the sounds.
