If the vet says rebuild it, do so. If he says put a rebuilt distributor and run it with the new gasket. do so. Not only does he have first hand visual and tactical experience with this tractor, he has a lifetime of experiences with red tractors. My guess is to put the distributor on it with a new cleaned up head gasket, and run it. But the Vet has laid hands on it. Go with that advice. Jim
