I am approaching the finish-line of my rebuild. I went to put number 1 at tdc so I could adjust the valves and could not find any marks on the pulley. The pulley had greese and some paint on so I cleaned it off. Problem is at one time the guard under the crank pulley was pushed up into the pulley and it wore off the stamped TDC mark. The pulley still has all the degree marks and the v and r stamped on it but the TDC mark is gone. The head is on and torgued down but the pan is still off. How do I find TDC? Can I count back on the dergee marks to locate TDC? Which degree is would it be and from which letter?
