Wood's Brush Hog

I have a B-106-1 Woods Brush Hog that has spent a lot of time beating up on rocks. The bottom seal on the gear box needs to be replaced. There is not much left of the center bolt that holds on the center bar. I was thinking of torching off what remains of the bolt head. If I do this, will the center bar separate from the gearbox? Is it possible that it might be a shoulder bolt? Any suggestions on replacing the seal would be appreciated if this is not a routine seal replacememt and repair.
