Purchased an A a while back that was running (no smoke)and advertised with no cracks or welds. Took the front cover off the engine and found front right side of block had been welded. Decided not to rebuild due to weld. Checked the bearings (ok) and cleaned the head & valves. Assembled head with new head gasket. Checked compression with finger in spark plug hole and could just barely feel air being pushed out when turning the engine over by hand (manifold was off). What does this mean?
