F series Inheritance

Recently inherited an F series farmall that belonged to my wife's grandfather. I have helped others restore and now I'd like to give it a try. I think it is an F20, but am not positive. The plate over the clutch is marked 1500DB with an F to the side and the IH symbol. I need help determining the year and model as well as whether it should be gray or red. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
