5 qts 90 wt oil for the trans. There's a square head plug on the left side of the trans just below the left fender to check the oil level: if oil comes out, you have enough. I'm going to be doing the brakes on my 41 A in the next few weeks, and from what I have gathered from this site, you access the drums by unbolting the final drive housings from the transmission. The brake drum is actually on the differential shaft, just below the seat, and not on the axel shaft down by the wheel. I'll let you know if I find out anything new in the next few days as I dig in. These assembiles are heavy and I've been warned to do one side at a time and use a hoist. The tractor is also not necessarily stable when supported by the jacking pads, so be careful.
