I rebuilt the engine on my C a while back, runs like a top, but now I"m having issue with the transmission.
First and second gear are great, but I"m finding it tougher and tougher to get it into 3rd or 4th gear. they work great if I can shift it into gear but it"s getting to where when I slide the shifter over to the right to find em, they just aren"t there, you can"t feel and slots over there to shift up or down into if that makes sense.
I"m planning on breaking the old gal open at some point in the future and likely replacing clutch, brakes, axle seals and whatnot but I would like to put that off for a while yet.
Any good notions on what is with the shifting, or what damage might be done using it in first and second until I have time to break it open and work on her back end? Maybe something I can fix without breaking her open like shifting forks going out?
