Well I have 2 of the 4 pistons back into the engine now and so far the used rings I have used are with in the 0.010-0.018 spec so if all goes well the next one I steal out of the other engine will be also. Have to pull another piston to get another top ring for the next cylinder I'm doing. Sure wish I could get by with out using a new head gasket but not likely but do have what looks like a good metal one that I might try an old trick on just to see if it works ya I'm being as cheap on this one as I can be
