having used cam- mag driven pumps (one dc case has 2 in tandem-one for power steering one for live loader) I have never had any drive problems. I recall over 20 years ago an older neighbor with loader onCC case about cried after I explaned how the main hyd (also cam driven) from an old selfpropelled case combine setting in the fence row would have given him live hyd many years ago. His hot shot nephew told him it could not be done becaus CC had base mount mag. I explained that all that was necessary wes to switch entire housing from cam gear on back from DC to CC.
