You are confused somewhat there is no magneto charging system. What is the Delco Remy # on your generator and how many terminals on whats on top. If the batt connection is by itself and two terminals on the other side it is a cutout. You mite have a loose brush in the genny or another connedtion thats loose somewhere. Are you running pos ground and is the tractor still 6v.
