Just wondering if anyone knows of a different starter that will bolt up to a Famall BN? I'd like to find one that has a solenoid to pull the drive into the ring gear. If not I guess I'll just replace the drive on this starter.
I rebuilt this BN from the ground up in 1986 and mow five or more acres of lawn each week with a Woods L306 72 inch mower. It's not a pretty as when I finished it back in 86 but always starts when the starter works! 6 to 12 volt conversion done a couple years before the rebuild.
