With a little ingenuity just about any of this can be done fairly cheaply. I built myself a wooden 'A' frame and use it to lift with. I used it to install the engine in my Super C and it worked great. It might've cost me $20 to build. One of your biggest obstacles at this point - do you have a wide or narrow front end?
