If the W450 D is serial # 1669 or higher, or was changed over sometime to the last design tach drive, the gear is still obtainable. IH changed the drive 2 times after first design. Last type is identified by a smooth gear housing with no adjustment notches. Housing has a little retainer that goes in a slot to keep gear from going forward into harder mesh with the distributor drive gear. IH used to sell the housing, retainer and gear as a package to replace early type drives. Package NLA, you can still get the gear, part # 369695 R91. If you're good at modification the gear can be made to work in the old housings. Housing bore needs enlarged unless worn bad or shaft made a little smaller and sometimes end made a hair shorter. Works best in the correct housing though.
