We're working on restoring a B for a guy that already had it somewhat converted to 12v. He had an alternator and luckly we talked him out of keeping it. He does want to keep it 12v so I plan on haveing a generator converted. I'm having a local shop do it so that shouldn't be a problem.
The gen I bought had a cut-out currently on it. Will I have to have a regulator? Will we mount the regualtor on the gen like the current cut-out is?
Will we be better off going with a 3 position switch? What 12v bulb is used in place of the 6v in the original tear drop lights?
I know this is a lot of questions but I hope somebody has had a bit of experiance with this and can help out.
I also plan on doing all my own wiring. I have all of BobM's diagrams printed off and I think I may be able to figure out the wiring although there really isn't a diagram for what I'm planning on doing.
