I have an F-14 restored, and have two issues with it. The first one is that it is hard starting, usually I hook up a belt to the pulley and start it from my other tractor. Cranking by hand will rarely get it started. The second issue is that when I do get it started, it will run smoothly for about ten to fifteen minutes and just die like I pulled the plug wires off. Here's what Has all been done. Carb has been gone through completely. Head has been off with valves done. Fuel tank and lines are clean and open. Fuel pump has been rebuilt. New plugs and wires, not the carbon ones. Mag has new coil, points, condenser, bearings and the impulse spring seems okay. I've got another new condenser I'm going to try because it seems like the stopping issue might have something to do with heat.
