I am wondering what a good silage tractor would be in the 06/56/66/86 series. I'm looking to run a NH790 and cut about 100-150 acres. The majority of it would be haylage but perhaps about 40 acres would be corn silage. I haven't decided whether the wagon will be pulled behind the chopper or by another tractor yet. Just looking for some ideas. Do I really need 150HP or is something in the 100-110HP range sufficient? The land here is flat. Thanks.
