The part # I posted is for use with the original coil.
If using another coil, for the best chance of good breaker point life it's a good idea to get a condensor intended for use with the coil you are using.
Everything you said is true. However, that condenser--both the CIH and NAPA versions--is the listed condenser for the IH distributor on 12V C-123 engines as well as 6V. The difference between 6V and 12V does not mean much to a capacitor (very unlike coils). I have been using the IH200 condenser with a NAPA IC13 coil with ICR13 external resistor and, more recently, with the IC14SB coil and no external resistor on my 12V 140. Probably about 20 years on each setup. I believe these are correct combinations and so does my NAPA guy. Are we wrong?
