Does anyone have any idea about installing a dual speed pto (540 & 1000) in an IH 1568? I have been working on restoring a 1568, however it has only a 1000 rpm pto in it. All of my equipment uses a 540 rpm pto and although I don't think that I'll ever use this tractor extensively for field work; I would prefer to have both pto speeds available just in case. What would be required to install a dual speed pto in this tractor or would I be better off to forego the thought of having a pto with both speeds and leave just the 1000 rpm pto?
