They are not the same, The 350 is a more powerful edition of an H engine. They are basically scale models of each other. The process is similar however. I recommend using a Hitachi alternator from a mid 1980s Nissan PU. These are the same wiring as a Delco 3 wire setup, not complex, and modest in size (better hood clearance) Bracketing is not a problem if you can handle som all thread and spacers.
