Let it sit until you are ready to work on it. You have said you want originality. IH painted it red with the rest of the tractor and let it burn off. That is what I do, I have never seen a painted manifold, or a picture of a painted manifold that looked right to me. Only my opinion. If you do paint it, wait until you can do it right. Cheap paint will be hard to get off of the rough, pitted cast on your mainfold.
