Being a new to you tractor it could be a multitude of things.
It sounds like fuel line plugged somewhere. But IF that is not the case the first thing I would do is popped the dist cap and check that the points are clean and set and wires are secure.
But it still sounds like fuel. Do an archive search on this forum and you will get lots of ideas.
