IH issued a service bulletin for reworking the center pivot assembly where the pin goes through. It involves machining the top and bottom flat where the pin goes through it and the addition of washers to shim it so that it holds the cylinder in the correct location. Also on the top and bottom of the assembly you were to machine recesses to accept O-rings to seal dirt out of the pivot area.
I made a tool to cut the recess so with that and a hand grinder I was able to do the update service without sending the part to a machine shop.
