Sounds like a lot of work for a tractor that when stock is quite a nice piece of equipment.I guess if I went to a show and saw this tractor that you want to put together sitting there I would probably say to myself "Man all that time could have been spent bringing her back to original".
As far as I know the original tranny of the tractor is made for alot lower rpm's than your V8 will spin. And don't be surprised if it doesn't hold up to the torque either. Just my opinion...I would rather hear you say you're making 'er right again. I'm sure you will get a few responses with better info on the tranny and torque handling ability of this set-up.....
