Had the same problem, IH spring resets use only spring pressure to hold bottom from tripping.Also used to break a lot of moldboards because of resetting on top of the rock that tripped it. Traded for a Melroe 903 6-18"s auto reset trailer plow. A LOT more clearance = less pluging and they have a overcenter linkage so they don't backout of the ground in tough plowing. Problem solved could'nt be happier. Dave
