You should be able to shift through all of the gears. But! These gears don't have syncros on them so the teeth on the gears probably aren't going to line up as you go from one gear to the next. This is true of all of the old manual transmissions. If you happen to hit one of the teeth head on the gear isn't going to turn one way or the other to let it slip into gear. Most of the time they will go into gear but not all of the time. Sometimes you need to go back and forth between gears until they line up properly.
