'39 M lid on left. 560 lid on right. Notice the difference in shifting forks. The early forks were used up until '53.

Farmall 400 lid on SMTA. One hole was drilled for steering post. The other two are already there.

Another pic of 400 lid on SMTA. When comparing the oil reservoir placement on this tractor to another one of my SMTA's, there appears to be no difference. In other words, the reservoir should transfer to the later lid without modification.

If you use an early lid on your SMTA, you may have clearance problems with the TA lever. Lids from tractors with band brakes will need one hole drilled and tapped in side of lid for disc brake housing.
