Some sources have said that only 103 sidemounts were produced. Availability began in June 1954 so SMTAs are correct. That setup will also fit 400/450. My tractor serial number is 519. The casting code for the Electrall gearbox is Jan 1955. My Electrall was not installed at the factory. I doubt if any were. They seem to be a dealer option. Search on "Electrall" on this forum for more info.
Power comes off the IPTO gear plus shaft that is splined into the main clutch pressure plate. There is no shifter on the gearbox so it is always rotating.
I now have a one-of-a-kind dual Electrall setup. The other generator is driven from a cotton picker PTO that has replaced the standard belt pulley gearbox. It is shiftable.
I am looking to add two more Electralls. They will be located in front of the grill. Power will come from the bottom of the IPTO driven gear. I need another 25 tooth IPTO gear plus shaft, the splined hub from an old clutch, the splined hub from an old pressure plate, and the clutch shaft plus coupling.
