I agree with the 1/2 ton in the clear. Usually they (DOT) will not mess with any truck under 1-ton unless it is clear that they are a commercial hot-shot operation. I had two chains/binders and I used them on the boom and through the blade. I figured that had it pretty secure, so I used the straps for the rest. The straps claim to bs stronger than 3/8" chain (5400 lb vs. 10k lb). Those are 2" HD binders.
As for A/C, no. It does have heat. I plan to install a radio, it is a pretty quiet rig. It has limitations due to its size but I knew that before I bought it. It just takes a little longer. As for 1/2 ton's go to the TRANSPORTING FORUM and find the post about a 1/2 ton and flatbed. I posted some pictures of my previous loads with the "little engine that could"...
PS, I AVERAGED 11.2 MPG in a little over 200 miles yesterday getting this machine... A 3/4 or 1-ton gasser cannot do that :lol:
