I"m working on a 1962 IH 504 with the D188 motor. It had a broken crankshaft when I picked it up. I have the crank all the bearings and seals but can"t find the balancer assembly available anywhere. Mine was missing from the tractor, but I didn"t discover that until I had everything sufficently removed so I could get at the bottom end and look around. If you look on page 34 of the model 330, 340, 504 2504 section of the IH-201 shop manual, figure IH1335C I am missing numbers 17 thru 22. I"m guessing that the original reason the crank broke is that the previous owner ran the engine without this installed. Any help or suggestions about changing the crank and working on this D188 engine would be appreciated. And if anybody knows where I could find my missing parts please let me know.
