Brownie is correct. If your firming points are worn down that much chances are the seed shoe is also wore out. By pulling the left guage wheel and seed opener you may be able to see a half moon wear spot on the shoe this will send the seed out the side and on top of the soil. Not all the seed shoes maybe wore like this. Definately run your fingers under the bottom of the shoe to see if there even and check the wall thickness. CNH sells those as a kit for about $55 with new bolts w/blue lock tite, roll pins and rubber flap. You will probablby need a breaker bar on the 2" ext for the 3/8" bolts. Just be careful of sharps objects.
