If it won't fit in your truck bed, you may be able to rent a tandem axle trailer. Some of those rental trailers tow very nice even loaded. Hal PS: Before I had a truck I rented one for hauling firewood, never had any trouble with the loaded trailer. I was using a 1951 Chevy and later on it snapped an axle. I changed it out on the road after my wife met me. I then got some tools and a used axle from a junk yard. I had to pull that too from a junker.
