You do not see too many of the cables that you mention. One, they were only used up to magneto #45589 which was probably used up by 1940 and two, they were troublesome - even dangerous. They connected to a mechanical kill switch that grounded the magneto where the electrical terminal and screw was later positioned. To shut down the motor, the spring loaded "S" button had to be pulled continuously until the motor had completly stopped. If it was released early and the clutch engaged while in gear, the tractor would take off. A lot of the early mags were converted. I have one a '40 H and treat it with respect. "S" probably stands for "Stop". Click on link to see parts book picture.
