Just got the 22-36 block back from it's date with the dishwasher; looks great!
However, I left the breather pipes (the ones hiding among the tappet guides) in the block as well as the packings in them. I know optimistic, but thought they might wind up clean - they were the only thing that didn't:
solid masses of crap that I don't even want to waste solvent trying to clean.
Anyone use a brass scour pad or something? Or will these clean up better than I expect? I never thought to check for new ones with Fordson House or Rice Equipment when I ordered the gaskets.
