Thanks Pete. I guess the easy way is to remove a bolt on the pump mounting plate and see what I've got. I've been wanting to pull the whole plate and look for part numbers, etc. but I didn't want to open up a can of worms out in the blowing snow, dirt, and below zero temps.
My gas industrial 2606 is kinda a hybrid so serial #'s don't work. The specific online parts manual for a diesel isn't the same. It appears to have the hydraulics of the 656 then some parts match up with the 460, 560, 606, 660, 504, 2504, and a few others.
I understand what your saying about the filter issues. I think the owner before me ran it for a few years without the screen though.
