Well Gene, the first time you take it for a spin you'll be glad you didnt part it out. I did my IH 484 last winter and painted it this summer. I still have a few things to do yet. Taking a piece of junk and turning it into something everyone wishes they could have feels great. Everytime I drive it I cant help but smile. You could swing a pipe into my face and Id still be smiling. This being my first tractor and a diesel may have something to do with it.
I payed $1000 for it with a bad engine knock and thought about parting it out, selling it, or selling it to a part yard to see if I could get my momey back. Im glad I didnt do that, I hate to see a tractor go that way.
