I have just purchased an M that we are going to have to rebuild the motor in(its stuck bad). The serial number plate is missing so here starts the detective work. It has the date code on the motor of 3-14-T which I would take to be March 14th, 1950. Is this right? It also has a number just below and behind the alt/gen which is FBKM 212170. Is this actually the serial number? If it is, according to the serial number guide on this site that would make it a late 1949 model. Any info would be appreciated . Thanks in advance.
