Hi to all, Since my rebuild last December (A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE TRACTOR VET FOR YOUR WISDOM AND GUIDENCE)Iam at about 100 hours and wanted to adjust the valve clearance again. At one hour I retorqued the head bolts and reset the valve clearance to .027 intake and .o27 exhaust according to the operators manual that I purchased. Just got done looking at the rebuild sheet from the machine shop and the Navistar specs state that intake setting is .027 and exhaust is .030. Has there been an update from IH that makes the the exhaust valve setting .030 from .027? Also is there an easier way to get the engine to DC twice for piston 1 and 6 so as to adjust 6 valves at once? Trying to crank my way to exactly DC must be a lost art. Scott
