Hello; I have a IH 966 with a 3pt hitch problem, when you shut the tractor off, you can watch the hitch settle down even when the lift lever is in the up position. When the tractor is running the 3pt hitch works ok.The hitch will raise up and down ok and the remotes work ok,which lead me to believe that the hitch pump is working ok.I don't have a way to test the hitch pump. I wonder if the hitch pump is getting weak or the problem is up under the 3pt housing cover somewhere. Thank-You!
