I would yield to Guy Fay who is expert in this information, however I have noticed some Louieville SM differences over the years. Many L SM's have came from the factory with SW6 torque tubes that have the perterusions & holes for the side mount SW6 battery box. Also, from a tractor pulling point of view, I have observed some L SM's have SW6 gears which have a different gear ratio to compensate for the smaller tire diameter of the SW6. These are my observations.
