Go to www.caseih.com then parts and D-239 search and it will show all the possible fuel filter types. D-239 is the engine type and it was used in several different applications and early models had only tin canister fuel filter with a drain on it, later models had 2 fuel filters on right side of engine with small bowl on bottom. The bleed screw was usually a hex head screw with screw driver slot in head.
It still suspect you will find problem is in the outlet of fuel tank. My brother's 684 had the remains of a lady bug corps stuck in the outlet that would give the same symptons.
